Getting Connected........

(Q) How do I join Covenant Glen United Methodist Church?

(A) To join Covenant Glen there are no requirements other than to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and confess that he died for your sins. Leave the rest to us! You may accept Christ and the Covenant Glen family at any worship service where the invitation is extended. Once you have made your decision you will be met by a Decision Time Counselor who will pray with you, welcome you to the body of Christ and get you started on the new member path.

(Q)Who should I contact if I want to get involved in activities or need help finding my place at Covenant Glen?

(A)Covenant Glen has a multitude of ministries to match any and every talent each member posses. During new member orientation you will be given the opportunity to complete a spiritual gifts assessment. This assessment will measure your talents and match you with the appropriate ministries. If you are not a new member, a copy of this form can be obtained on the website under Ministries. Once completed, you may fax a copy to the church office at 281.499 .9119 and a representative from Christian Education will contact you.

(Q) When is the church open?

(A)The church office is open Tuesday – Friday, 8:45a-5:15p, and Sundays from 8:00 am-12:30pm

(Q)When is Logos Bookstore open?

(A)Logos Bookstore is open on Sundays, 8:00 am-12:00 pm; Wednesdays, 6:00 pm-8:30 pm; and special events.

(Q) How does the church learn about new babies, hospitalization, or a death in families?

(A) Please contact the church office at 281.499.8788 to notify the Pastor and church family of special announcements.

(Q) I’ve had a death in my family, how do I schedule a funeral?

(A) Once you have contacted the church office regarding your loss you will be contacted by our Bereavement Ministry Coordinator, Bette Gaines. The coordinator will be the liaison between the bereaved family and the church. It is the church’s request that all funerals be held on Saturdays at 10am. For more information on this process please visit the website under Prayer and Care for the entire brochure on the bereavement process.

(Q) How do I make a prayer request?

(A) There are several ways to make a prayer request.

You may contact the church office to advise of your special need.

Submit your request online at www.covenantglen.org on the Prayer and Care page

Dial into one of our weekly prayer chains as listed under prayer and care on the church website and this booklet.

(Q) How do I schedule a baptism?

(A) Members requesting to be baptized please e-mail lbrown@covenantglen.org or contact the church office. Baptisms are conducted every Second Sunday during the 11:30 am worship experience( Hwy6 location). Once your paperwork is received by the church office you will be contacted with a confirmation of your approved request.

(Q) How do I schedule a wedding?

(A) To schedule a wedding please contact the church office to request rental procedures and date availability. This information can also be obtained on the website under Frequently Asked Questions. Once you have reviewed the procedures, a signed contract and deposit will secure your desired date.

(Q) How do I schedule a room or meeting at the church?

(A) To request a room, please contact the church office at 281.499.8788 to check for availability, or complete the inquiry form on the church website located on the Contact Us page. Once your request is approved you will be contacted regarding the space and facility requirements

Financial Matters..........

(Q)How do I know what my pledge balance is? What if I have questions about my pledge or gifts to the church? What if I did not receive my statement?

(A) To request pledge information please contact Darrel Graham, the Financial Secretary, at 281.499.8788 ext 22.

(Q) What are the ways that I can give to the church?

(A) There are several ways to make a contribution to the church.

You may give cash or check in the weekly offering or place your envelope in the offering boxes located outside the Life Center

You may mail your contribution to the church at 401 Present Street, Missouri City, Texas, 77489

You can donate using your Visa or MasterCard by logging on to www.covenantglen.org and clicking on the Donate Now page.

You may also donate using your Visa or MasterCard on Sundays with the receptionist in the office located adjacent to the Coffee Shop.

Personal Information Changes.......

(Q) Who do I contact when I move or change other personal information?

(A) Any member can update their information on the Membership Update Form on the weekly bulletin, contacting the church office, or sending an inquiry on the Contact Us page located on the church website.
